Congratulations to Shauna Mower for winning a Joan Grishkot Foundation Scholarship for 2023. These scholarships were awarded to the top eight applicants from the more than 60 that applied, based on a holistic review process which included academics as well as leadership skills.
Shauna Mower is currently a senior at Queensbury High School. She will be attending the Connell School of Nursing at Boston College in the upcoming fall. She has always been interested in the medical field, but truly found a passion for nursing through many of her own personal experiences. One of her greatest dreams for a future career is to help others and have a positive impact on each and every person she interacts with, which she can fulfill through nursing. Growing up with two autistic sisters She was inspired to choose nursing, as she wants to help people of all abilities to feel safe and comfortable in medical facilities She wants all patients to feel equal, heard, and cared for during her future career!
