Congratulations to Garret Lamouree on being one of he Joan Grishkot Foundation Scholarship Award winners for 2023. Chosen as on of eight winners out of over 60 applicants, he was judged based on academics and leadership.
Garrett Lamouree is a graduate of Queensbury High School. He is currently entering his junior year at Binghamton University this coming Fall, pursuing a B.S. in Biological Sciences and a Spanish minor, with an expected graduation of Fall 2024. In his time at Binghamton, he has become involved as a Crew Chief and a Driver Preceptor with the university’s collegiate EMS agency, Harpur’s Ferry, while maintaining a high standard of academic rigor and success. Additionally, he plays in the BU Symphony Orchestra on tenor trombone, and works as a peer advisor for the BU Pre-Health Department. At home, he works as an EMT for Lake George EMS, a substitute teacher within WSWHE BOCES, and as a member of the ropes course staff at Double H Ranch. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, swimming, and spending time with friends and family. This past summer, Garrett achieved early acceptance to the Norton College of Medicine at SUNY Upstate in Syracuse, NY through the Upstate Accelerated Scholars Program. His expected matriculation is Fall 2025. With this experience and education, he aims to return to the region and support our local healthcare network.
