2025 Grishkot Foundation Press Release
The Grishkot Foundation has announced the awarding of $47,500 in new scholarships and $30,000 in continuing scholarships, totaling $77,500 in scholarship funds to 16 students from Warren, Washington, and Saratoga counties. The scholarships were presented on Jun 4th at an awards luncheon at The Queensbury Hotel in Glens Falls, NY.
2025 Grishkot Scholarship Winners
Joan Grishkot Memorial Recipients
Brandi Pierce (Cambridge, NY). Brandi is a practical nursing student at The Washington-Saratoga-Warren-Hamilton-Essex (WSWHE) BOCES where she will graduate in June 2025. She plans to work as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) while earning her RN at Excelsior College and ultimately pursuing a BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
Keegan Reinhart (Saratoga Springs High School). Keegan is a senior at Saratoga Springs High School and plans to attend Binghamton University where she will be majoring in nursing.
Emily Marincic (Clifton Park, NY). Emily is an incoming college Sophomore at SUNY Brockport’s Honor College. She is a direct-entry Nursing student and was placed on the Dean’s list for both semesters of her Freshman year.
Peter Lindblom (Pottersville, NY) Peter is attending SUNY Adirondack, where he will graduate from the nursing program in 2026. After graduation, he plans to work locally in NY State, helping fill the need for nurses, while continuing to lead medical mission trips.
Bridget Giernacky (Warrensburg, NY). Bridget is a practical nursing student at The Washington-Saratoga-Warren-Hamilton-Essex (WSWHE) BOCES where she will graduate in June 2025. Bridget is committed to expanding her role in healthcare and plans to pursue her Registered Nursing degree.
Jessica Bowens (Ballston Spa High School). Jessica Bowens is a senior at Ballston Spa High School and plans to attend Hartwick College for her undergraduate studies, majoring in Nursing.
Walter Grishkot Memorial Recipients
Allison Dittrich (Queensbury, NY). Allison is an IB diploma graduate from Queensbury High School, and is currently a full-time student studying aerospace and mechanical engineering at the University at Buffalo, where she has maintained a 4.0 GPA. After graduating from the University of Buffalo, Allison looks forward to obtaining her private and commercial pilots license to become a full-time pilot.
Shayla Byrne (South Glens Falls High School). Shayla is a South Glens Falls High School student and plans to attend Grove City College, where she will pursue a degree in International Business and Supply Chain Management while also training to be a pilot.
Ava Lohrey (Warrensburg Central School). Ava is a senior at Warrensburg Central School and a student in the International Baccalaureate Program at Queensbury Union Free School District. She plans to attend Clarkson University, where she has been accepted into the Solinsky Engineering Leadership and Honors Programs.
Declan Corcoran (Saratoga Springs High School). Declan is a senior at Saratoga Springs High School and will be attending Virginia Tech this fall, majoring in engineering and architecture.
